Serving The UK Printer
Few of us working in the print industry twenty five years ago could possibly have envisaged the immense changes witnessed in the past decade.
Around 10,000 commercial and "Inplant" printers each compete for their share in the United Kingdom's sixth biggest industry, itself the largest print-related market in the European Community
Throughout my years of involvement with sheetfed sales, I have invariably found printers to be inventive, flexible and fully receptive to fast changing public demand. Inevitably, alternative technologies have gained a solid market foothold: printers have displayed a preparedness to speculate in new technologies in the interests of achieving maximum flexibility on paper size, type and thickness; combining colour with keen production pricing, and especially for short run work
Not for one moment can we criticise the powerfully effective response from leading sheetfed manufacturers to new challenges. The best of the leading suppliers, through combining subtle refinements to their existing model ranges, along with new technological developments, are more than abreast in terms of quality, reliability and cost efficiency
Throughout 15 years as Sales Director with the UK Distributor, I naturally developed a respectful affinity for RYOBI and their model ranges. Not only have the latter been progressively refined and supplemented, RYOBI introduced a brand new large format 680 series at IPEX '98 and this has been followed by the 750 series [2 to 10 colour with perfecting options] underlining the company's determination to compete in the A2/B2 sphere
Since formation over 10 years ago, Philip Idle Graphic Machinery has focused on supply of pre-owned high quality RYOBI presses to the UK printer, and to the trade. Each press sold has been selected with care from principally European sources - preferably of recent vintage, with light usage and a sound maintenance and service history. The range supplied has extended to re-badged RYOBI units from the stable of A B Dick / ITEK.
Aside from our well-established reputation for fine quality products, our pricing policy is a key factor in our marketing.Press installation, commissioning and operator tuition, preventive maintenance and servicing contracts are available.
The RYOBI and AB DICK/ITEK units provide a comprehensive and imposing range from which to select a specification - and we are both proud and confident to support our sales. In all cases our aim is to compliment the manufacturer's high standards.
Whether you have already decided on a particular purchase or are conducting tentative research, I extend a cordial invitation for you to visit our machine sales web page.
